Bret Williams is the founder and lead designer of Huey Lightshop, a woman-led, sustainable, made-to-order lighting brand based in the Blue Mountains, Canada. With a background in product design, Huey was started after noticing a gap in the Canadian-made lighting market and wanting to create thoughtful, curated designs that transform the spaces they light up. An artful approach to lighting, if you will!

Living in the countryside in a converted schoolhouse built in 1873, the surrounding nature and the stories told through vintage craftsmanship are constant sources of inspiration for Huey pieces. These influences shape the designs, which combine artistry and function to every fixture. 

At Huey, with sustainability threaded in their ethos, every fixture is crafted from start to finish in her Blue Mountains studio. Huey is a celebration of creativity, craftsmanship and storytelling through light.
