Lulu Harrison is a materials researcher and maker dedicated to sustainable glass production, blending ancient craft with modern innovation. With a background in Materials Futures from Central Saint Martins, Lulu Harrison explores the intersection of tradition and eco-conscious design by working with local and waste resources, such as shellfish remnants from the fishing industry.

Inspired by the Forest Glass era, when glass was created from abundant, local materials, she experiments with creating ‘geo-specific’ glasses that reflect the natural surroundings. Aiming to revive the secrets of historical glasshouses, they craft unique, sustainable artifacts that tell stories of the past while shaping the future of material science.

Lulu is an award-winning artist whose work has been exhibited at the V&A, London Design Festival, and London Craft Week, and acquired by The Museum of London and NAWAREUM. She was named ‘New Emerging Talent’ by the Crafts Council, became the first recipient of the Worshipful Company of Glass Sellers Bursary, and is a QEST/Johnnie Walker scholar and Heritage Crafts X QEST Sustainability Award winner. Her accolades include the LVMH Maison/0 Green Trial Award, joint runner-up for the GAS Trace Award 2024, UK winner of the Art For Change Prize at The Saatchi Gallery, and most recently, winner of the Ralph Saltzman Prize 2025.
