Founded by Cara George, Otea (Oh-Tay-Ah) is a sustainable wallpaper and textile studio devoted to a refined yet cheeky old-world maximalism. Inspired by folk art, vintage kitsch, flora and fauna, and architectural antiquity, Cara’s watercolor prints channel the lingering spirit and imagined tales of Otea Pollera—her great-aunt who lived her life in Italy. Though they never met, Cara has always felt deeply connected to her.

Each Otea piece is created with care for both beauty and the planet, using eco-conscious materials and thoughtful, responsible production methods to tread more lightly on the earth.
